3. The album was a huge breakthrough for Radiohead and it was, in this reviewer's opinion, along with the band's third album, OK Computer, one of the two best albums of the s. As most of those considering this box set already know, the music on The Bends is nothing short of amazing/5(K).

4. The Bends was the first Radiohead album with artwork by Stanley Donwood, who has created all of Radiohead's artwork since. 6. Comments: 4. Jordan from Toronto, On This is one of my favourite songs hands down.; David from Austin, Tx obviously this song is about a failing relationship. "the bends" album was much more about relationships and the emotions involved than radiohead's later albums which revolve around the state of politics and the world.

8. It was the first song recording that paired Radiohead with Nigel Godrich who was engineering the album with John Leckie producing. For this song the band asked Nigel to do the producing the they liked his style so much they asked him to do the same on Lucky - a song for war child.
